Hi Guys,
Curious as to whether anyone with OSA / Insomnia (not CSA) has tried an ASV device and if it made a difference. If so, what kind? Did you buy it out of pocket? Did you get titrated? I'm willing to pull the trigger since my APAP isn't working super well.
anyone tried Adapto Servo Ventilation?

Why would you think an ASV would solve your problem?Apneak wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 10:44 pmHi Guys,

Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Re: anyone tried Adapto Servo Ventilation?
Barry Krakow....I have UARS, and he says it's more effective therapy.

Re: anyone tried Adapto Servo Ventilation?
I actually did from the results of my sleep study but it did not help with my AHI and I had horrible dyspnea for some reason. I went back to the Airsense 10 APAP.

Re: anyone tried Adapto Servo Ventilation?
He also says standard auto bilevel (ABPAP) is better than CPAP. But his latest study doesn't compare ASV and ABPAP.
My conclusion is most UARS foilks (me included) can be effectively treated with standard ABPAP, and that ASV is overkill.
But some will need higher pressures and pressure support that may be better handled with ASV.
Which is better for you really depends on the details; what pressures you're using, what your flow and flow limitation graphs look like, whether you experience CAs, etc.

PS - you might change the thread title to include UARS.
