OT...Thank You

Thank you for this, LSAT. Today I’ve been thinking with gratitude of my late father and late father-in-law, who both fought during WWII, of my husband, who was drafted in the Vietnam War era, of my great-nephew, who has been serving in the reserves, and of the millions of men and women who have been ready to make great sacrifices to defend our democracy. May we be worthy of them.

It is time for a women's war memorial.
We think of the boys and men who went to war, but so little of the unsung nurses,
drivers, codebreakers, etc.
Even Britain's queen is a war vet.

When I think of vets, I think of all vets: men and women. Maybe that's just me.

Not quite the size of the ones in DC, but here is the first American Servicewomen's Memorial in the US. It's been around since 1991. https://kekbfm.com/servicewomens-memorial-collbran/. Collbran is a not so thriving metropolis of 702 people (two of which would be my parents)

Nice, kudos to Coloradans.
There is a push to build a NATIONAL memorial, which has been a long time coming.

The word veteran in the dictionary is a person who served in the Military.Someone either male or female who loved this Country and flag enough to want to protect what it stands for.
