Facial prep for Dreamware full face mask

Post by TeresaSDougherty » Sun Nov 10, 2019 3:21 pm

I have always had dry facial skin, which requires me to apply moisturizers at night before going to bed. What will happen if I continue to apply the lotions and then use my Philips Dreamware full face mask? Is this going to be a big problem?

It could be a big problem depending on when you apply the moisturizer and how much doesn't get absorbed enough to not mess with the seal of the mask on the skin. It could potentially cause the mask to leak because the seal cannot be maintained and if it leaks badly enough it can either cause a lot of awakenings from the leak or impact the effectiveness of the therapy because the pressure needed to hold the airway open cannot be maintained due to leaks.

A lot will depend on what your moisturizer is made up of....oils are the worst because they simply cause the mask to slide around all over the place and leaks will be bad.

Or moisturize as usual, but use a mask liner--like Pad a Cheek.
Inspiration: aloe-infused mask liner!

Oops! I let the cat out of the bag.
