Has any one of you gals who uses the ResMed AirSense "Autoset 10 for Her" . . . noticed a small hum coming from the machine that doesn't seem to be present with the regular black AutoSet 10?
I read one review on CPAP.com that reported it, and said she would be ordering the black one next time. Either this is a fluke, or it has something to do with the different algorithm for Her.
ALSO . . . would love to hear how your AutoSET 10 machine has held up over time (not sure when it became available). With so many different & wonderful features (and things to go wrong), wondering how durable it is.
Since my Aussie Heated Hose from Australia finally stopped working & is no longer available since machines came out with heated hoses for them . . . I figure it's time to replace my workhorse Respironics 9-year-old AutoCPAP (which will serve nicely as my back-up machine).
Any additional input on the AutoSet 10 for HER would be greatly appreciated - pros &/or cons.
Thanks so much!

Mine made a bit of a racket once, but it stopped after I removed the tank
and snapped it in again more firmly.

I am not one of the gals, but I have a ResMed AirSense "Autoset 10 for Her" and a black one (back up). Both my dime.
They are both exactly the same silent little gems I have come to love.
Durability. I will see.
I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I'm not one of the gals either, and I love my AutoSet for Her. You can be sure that the manufacturing process between the Elite, CPAP, AutoSet, and AutoSet for Her, is not sufficiently different to create the hum.
If your getting a hum (or other noises), some things to try:
If your getting a hum (or other noises), some things to try:
- Ensure your humidifier is properly seated.
- Ensure your hoses and mask are properly seated.
- Put little rubber feet on the bottom. This has the added bonus of preventing unit from sliding around.

It's a fluke, or someone imagining something.JoyD. wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 9:59 pmHas any one of you gals who uses the ResMed AirSense "Autoset 10 for Her" . . . noticed a small hum coming from the machine that doesn't seem to be present with the regular black AutoSet 10?

Even if it were (which it's not) something to do with the for her mode. You can turn that off by just putting the machine in standard autoset mode.
Get one, enjoy.

Re: Hum with ResMed Autoset 10 for HER?
I don't have the black one but I do have the For Her model and an AirCurve 10 model and no hum with either.
Not impossible for a ResMed to have unwanted motor noise but it sure isn't a common occurrence.
I would have to lay my ear on the machine to even hear the motor.

Re: Hum with ResMed Autoset 10 for HER?
THANKS EVERYONE for your much appreciated comments! I just placed an order for HER at CPAP.com at their current sale price of $750 & current 30-day return! Can't wait to receive it!!
I'll surely have some questions as I begin to get acquainted with a ResMed & adjusting the settings.
I've been an Autopap user for nine happy years (Respironics RemStar M-Series which has been a workhorse for me & is still going . . . now my back-up machine.). For the first several years I used clinician software tracking my own progress. Will software be necessary with the "ResMed AutoSet 10 for Her" . . . or will the LED display info be sufficient tracking?
I've also heard of myair.com which I will be able to access with my Amazon Fire 10 HD Tablet which probably won't work for using software like ResScan.

Re: Hum with ResMed Autoset 10 for HER?
You can start with the information that is available on the machine's LCD menu. For an experienced cpap user who pretty much has boring and non eventful reports it's going to be sufficient for day to day quick looks.
You can use the available software (OSCAR/SleepyHead/ResScan) for the times you might want more detailed information.
It's always there on the SD card if you want it. No more 7 day download time limit or you lose the details like you had on the M series.
Just make sure the SD card is in the machine during the night or you lose some detailed files.
Most of the time I don't even bother looking at the machine's LCD screen...I already know pretty much what it is going to tell me.
I download from the SD card maybe once every 2 to 4 weeks when I think about it. I don't pour over my details unless I am experimenting with something like a new mask or a new setting or whatever.
I don't even bother with MyAir at all. In terms of data that it gives a person...the same data is available on the LCD screen and I don't need or want scores or badges to boost my morale.
So as a new user to this brand of machine you may or may not need or want to view the details available beyond what is on the LCD screen.....but the data is there if/when you want to give the software a go.
