Dry eyes issue

Post by rachelm920 » Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:55 am

I've been experiencing severe dry eyes where I can barely wear my contact lenses anymore without constantly putting drops in. I previously thought it was my allergies but allergy season is over. I'm starting to think it's my CPAP. I've been looking at masks on amazon, but they come with a heavy price tag (some around $70) and I don't want to purchase something I'll end up hating and wasting my money. Has anyone used any of the "dry eye masks"? I'm thinking of this one https://www.amazon.com/Wahah-Relief-Pre ... 50&sr=8-13 which isn't too expensive and has good reviews.

I have found that full face masks are lousy at keeping air out of the eyes.
Nasal pillow masks do the job for me.
I have been known to wear swim goggles to keep my eyes from drying out excessively,
but the dry eye shop online has solutions
First, see your eye doctor--not an optometrist, but an ophthalmologist--an eye DOCTOR,
to rule out any new eye problem.
Dryness can have many causes-not always airflow.

A simple eye mask/shade for sleeping, one with a well-designed nose and well-designed depth, may be enough: https://www.amazon.com/Sleeping-PaiTree ... 07MFS5D33/

I started having MASSIVE dry eye issues that coincided with starting CPAP.

In addition to everything else I now have to do to deal with it, I sleep with https://dryeyeshop.com/collections/eye- ... -4-0-clear They protect my eyes and have helped tremendously! I use a Bleep mask so they play well together. I did have to go back to my old mask one night and the 2 straps across the back of my head (both slipping up...straps don't do well on my head :( ) was not great.
