Storing Airmini humidifier cartridges between uses

I love my airmini and I understand that once opened you not use humidifier cartridges for more than 30 days. The two questions I have are

1. Are those calendar days or usage days?

2. What's the preferred way of storing the cartridge between uses. Should I let it dry out and just store it in a clean place or keep it damp in a plastic bag, or let it dry out and then store it in a plastic bag.

Its an elapsed time figure (calendar days).

2. What's the preferred way of storing the cartridge between uses.

It never get wet per se. Just leave it in the Air-Mini mask connector.

I tried keeping one of the Z1 HME’s in a ziplock bag when not in use (for around a week). It does make the humidity kick in faster - if you like breathing through a damp sweat sock. I had better luck with just letting it dry out during the day.

Like germs and mold, store them damp. Jim
