So the question is.....
I have a new apap with heated hose. In the past, I have only had regular hoses and have always used a fleece fabric hose cover to help prevent rainout. Does a hose cover affect a heated hose in any way? Use or not use?
BTW, am I blind or is there not an equipment listing for an AirSense 10 Auto? I only see the 'for her' model in the equipment drop down in the user control panel.

Look down in the R's for the AutoSet. It got stuck down there all by itself and not up in the A's with the rest of the new models.
Yes, you can still use a hose cozy if you wish. All it does is allow the extra insulation to help keep the air warm (to whatever temp you set it at) and use less electricity to do it.
Now if your heated hose was a stand alone heated hose like the Aussie heated hose or the Hybernite hose with no on or off or temp control...then using a hose cozy isn't advised for those heated hoses.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

From what I understand it helps somewhat. I do not use one, but I only use my heated hose in the winter.
The Resmed Airsense 10 Auto is under the R's in the list. It is there. Someone just put it under the R's.
Happily you are not blind.

Thanks, both! (And I am glad I'm not blind yet!) It's the ClimateLine ResMed hose, not a stand-alone, so it look like it's OK to use the cover..
Cheers!

I use a heated hose with a cover. It gets cold in the winter where I live and I have my furnace turned down at night. I use to get rain out without the cover. However, I keep my humidity cranked up.

I use the ResMed cover on my heated hose.
But not for the reasons most would. I found the naked heated hose made quite a bit of noise as it moved across the pillows and covers. While I do have a hose hanging setup, there was still a good bit of noise as the wires in the hose went across materials. The hose cover all but completely eliminated that noise! One less thing to wake me......or my wife.
