Philips Respironics started acting up—HELP!
Philips Respironics started acting up—HELP!
I have a Philips Respironics REMstar Plus C-flex and use an Amara View face mask. My machine has 4958 hours that I’ve put on it. Recently I’ve been getting woke up because I take a breath in, the machine acts like a valve closes and I’m trying to draw air against a closed off hose. Then when I exhale, it forces air into my mouth/nose. It’s been doing this intermittently for about a week, until today when I couldn’t even get the machine to work right at bedtime. I thought it was the machine malfunctioning, but I have another identical machine and I put my hose/mask on it with the same results. I think it might be the little flapper in the face mask, but that really doesn’t make sense. I tried to find my machine to put it in my profile, but I didn’t have any luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Philips Respironics started acting up—HELP!
Have you got another hose and or mask to try.
Both machines - same problem.
May not be the machine.
Just a thought.
All I got.

Unfortunately I only have the one mask and hose. I have a replacement coming, but it will be a few days before it gets here

Let us know how it works when the new mask comes.

Re: Philips Respironics started acting up—HELP!
UPDATE! I thought the new mask had fixed my problem, but the issue has returned. It doesn’t seem to happen until I’ve been asleep for a few hours. Maybe I need to take the machine in for service. I was hoping someone had a similar experience and could give me pointers.
