Nasal pillows and nose

Post by Hornnumb2 » Wed Oct 09, 2019 3:39 pm

It seems like that the nasal pillows is slightly making my nostrils bigger. I started in the beginning with the P10 and small, then had to go to med and now I think I need large.... Do others have to go up over time?

10 plus years using nothing but a nasal pillow mask and I can still use the XSmall or Small.
They should rest GENTLY against the nostril and NOT go up inside the nose at all. The inner cone is the only thing that is inside the nose and it doesn't/shouldn't touch the inside of the nostril.

nope. which is a good thing. i started out with a large. not sure where i'd go from there. :)

you may have the mask too tight. check you tube for mask fitting videos for the p10.

good luck!

My nostrils started out extra-large. I wish Resmed would make a bigger size.

I think it seems to be common for people to start out too small because pillows feel weird at first. Also, they do wear out.

Yeah the P10 is elastic so no adjustment.

I find the P10 elastic straps highly adjustable. Varying the distance between the two bands that split off on each side, how and where the sit on your head, make tension adjustments easy on the P10. Now I am sure there are those that need the straps to be shorter regardless ( I think you want some distance between the straps to make the fit more stable ) and those can use the clips to do that.

On nostril size, I have wondered if there is something available for those that have beyond extra large nostrils. I would think there is a market for that.
