Hi hoping someone can help. I have been using CPAP for the last three months. I can now manage a full nights sleep using the mask. However the problem is l'm still wake up very tierd and sometimes with a fuzzy headache. The machine shows if their is a break in seal overnight and all is well. Is my body still adjusting to the treatment ? l was told by the doctor/nurses at my last appt that l would start to feel refreshed using the CPAP
Thanks in advance for anyone who replys
Still get fuzzy headaches
Re: Still get fuzzy headaches
welcome to the zoo! yes, those headaches should be starting to abate by now. so it may be that the settings on your machine aren't quite "dialed in". yes, i know. you believe what the doctor and nurses have to say. and in general, that's a good thing. but it seems that the sleep docs want to prescribe a machine and then wash their hands of the patient.Wilks1961 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 10:52 amHi hoping someone can help. we here on the forum are big believers in taking your therapy into your own hands. there are many things that you can do with the help of the experts here. but you are going to have to do some things to help the folks here help you.
please see the links in my sig below. we are going to need to know which cpap machine and which mask you use. we don't all get the same machine because there are so many different types. and with the mask there are even MORE choices. so please let us know.
also, you need to get the free software, oscar. this runs on mac, windows or linux. it wiill NOT run on a tablet or phone. with this software, you can post some charts here for others to see. they will advise you on any changes you need to make.
whew! that's a lot, huh? but please start by downloading oscar and reading the newbie thread. both links are below.
you can do this. we are here to help.
good luck!
oh! and if you know what your pressure settings are, that will help too.
