I an new to the airsense 10 machine. I just completely turned off tube temp to see if it helps with warm air coming thru mask . Tried lowering it to 60,little or no difference.
Is humidity level 1 the max humidity and 8 the least amount of humidity?
Thanks in advance for input.
Humidity level adjustment?tube temp
Re: Humidity level adjustment?tube temp
8 is the max, 1 the least... but you have to use it smartly. If you live in an area that's generally humid relative to most places, you may well never need it, or only e.g. in winter if you use central heat, or if you just feel it helps... at whatever level you choose. It's not mandatory therapy, but facilitates Cpap so you need to try it at diff. settings depending on variables like climate. If you have a dry mouth but don't otherwise feel humidity needs to be added, maybe a full face mask would be a good choice (if not already being used) as it lets you mouth breathe but air still goes into you, not the room. Too much hum. can lead to congestion/cold symptoms, not enough can be lousy if you're in e.g. Arizona.

Remember that you are starting with the ambient room air temp.
So unfortunately if your house is 72 degrees ambient temp....you can't get 60 degrees in terms of hose air temp despite the setting.
These machines can't cool the air. All they can do is warm it up if the starting ambient temp is lower.
