High AHI readings

Post by lawrieirvine » Wed Oct 02, 2019 12:33 am

I have been having CPA treatment for about 6 years. I travel a lot and have a ResMed AirMini. I monitor my AHI daily and have seen values ranging from 2 up to 6 or 7 pretty much constantly. About 5 weeks ago I notice a significant increase in my AHI. This went up to the mid 20s. I am writing this because last night it was up at 42! I do have some mask leaks but these are not excessive. Nothing else has changed. The only thing I can think of is that I am now in a place which is 5,000 feet above mean sea level. But I cannot see how that would be a contributing factor. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

Most likely it is indeed related to the higher altitude.
See this recent discussion about the very same thing.
