I've been using my cpap equip faithfully for about 2 weeks, but am still really tired most days. I sleep pretty well through the night; I usually wake up once to clean the rainout from my nasal pillows and then go back to sleep.
Is this a normal course of events? I was hoping to be a bit more alert than I am feeling.

Still sleepy after all these nights
~~Laurie
Laurie,
Congrats for getting this far.
Everyone is different. Some people feel better right away, others take a few weeks or even a few months before they start feeling better. Remember, you've been suffering for probably years, so you have quite a bit of sleep debt to pay back. Just be patient, and your perseverance will eventually pay off.

Laurie,
If you keep sleeping as you have, the feeling better WILL come. For me, it took more than a normal night's sleep - I slept every possible moment for several weeks before the fog lifted. A "normal" night's sleep is for maintenance, not recovery. If it doesn't affect your nighttime sleep, as much as possible, give your body what it asks for (naps), and at some point your body will recover and that need will decrease.
