Re: Can't stay asleep with my cpap
What "specific" ResMed Machine?
What is your Ramp Start Pressure Setting..
Are you using a Fixed Pressure at 12? Or Auto?

Re: Can't stay asleep with my cpap
Have you got any idea specifically what is causing most discomfort? Is it the mask? Is it the pressure? Is it the hose getting in the way?

a tip that you may want to try. often when we are starting out on cpap, our poor tired brains just don't like having that mask on. that brain is thinking "there's something on my face! it's going to kill me!!". so it's small wonder we have trouble adapting to this nonsense.
so the tip part is, try wearing the mask while not in bed. it will help you adjust to what pugsy calls the alien on your face.
good luck!

my hose was at the top of my head i don't have any discomfort my problem is that i just wake up for no cause at all.
I changed masks this weekend and done some better I have a Resmed 10 auto and i put my pressure at 10.4 over the next few
mouths i'm going to raise the pressure up to where it's more comfortable to me with the pressure at 12 my ears was popping and
i was getting air in my stomach but i feel better right now still needing info

Don't just change your pressure without more info as you could bring on other issues. Download Oscar and post pix here so they can be read by experts who will then advise you re what to do.

Guess what ?
"no reason at all" simply means you do not yet know what it is.
You may figure it out, but that is secondary to getting used to the mask, pressure, etc.
Two weeks is short--many of us needed a month or three.
I found using my breathing as a focus for meditation worked for me.
It also helps if you do not wait until you are very exhausted to get to bed.
Extreme tiredness makes it harder to relax.
