In my case, it not only helped, it completely eliminated my "roof-rafter-shaking" snoring.
Wife says I went from, "OMG! How is that noise coming out of him" to "no snoring at all".
Fell asleep on the couch without my machine while watching a movie and wife said my snoring came roaring back.
I'd say it's definitely worth trying.
