Sleeping worse (1-3 hrs) with cpap

Post by kdt15 » Fri Aug 09, 2019 12:48 pm

Resmed airsense 10 with humidifier, full mask phillips amara

I take it off in 1.5-3 hrs apparently in my reports.

I notice its uncomfortable and then just take it off and wake up or just go back to sleep normally

I do have a stuffy nose most of my day (and my life) and it alternates. i mouth breathe a lot for convenience. i sleep with mouthbreathing as well and thus drool. with this mask, i try to force nose breathing. sometimes my mouth opens up a bit and it feels like i choke since a ton of air shoots in, prompting me to go back to nose breathing.

What can i do to make this better? Are there certain things i should adjust?

thanks

welcome to the zoo! could i trouble you to read this-

viewtopic/t172378/Sticky--Newbies-PLEAS ... STING.html

this going to give you some advice as to how to ask questions here. see, we don't all use the same machine. we don't all use the same mask. and to top that off, we don't use the same combo necessarily. i would urge to read here for both machine and mask types-

https://www.cpap.com/

-then come back and fill out your equipment profile. this will then show your equipment type at the bottom of each post you make.

while there are general bits of info we can give you, you can be better helped if the experts know specifically what you have.

also please download and start using the free software, oscar. this will monitor your sleep patterns and tell us more.

whew! that sounds like a lot. what a nosy bunch we are.

but it really will help us help you. others will be along shortly.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.
