Whistling Please Stop for the Love Of...

Post by tangerine1939 » Fri Aug 02, 2019 9:30 pm

Hello all,
Newbie. Dreamwear....Been trying for a week now. Used the nasal pillows at first but felt like I was drowning. Using the single nasal cpap mask, one large slit. Feels a bit better, almost able to actually doze off when the ramp up finally gets to 11, my magical number, this crazy annoying whistling sound starts out the co2 slits.
Can't cover it. Though that stops the whistle. Adjusted mask, no air leaks according to my machine. Made sure slits were not 'clogged' - dunno but ready to give up. Each night make it not even an hour and throw it off in frustration. Resentful of rubber. Hate this. Vent complete. :|

What do you mean you felt like you were drowning with the nasal pillows? Was water involved or were you just feeling like you were suffocating and couldn't move enough air to be comfortable?
If the later is the case...what size nasal pillow were you using and was it the DreamWear gel pillow?

For the whistling...what humidity setting are you using and are you using the heated hose?
