Interesting observation

Post by bwexler » Mon Jul 29, 2019 10:31 pm

I lost the magnetic clip on my Dream Wisp mask so I switched back to my Sleepweaver 3D mask. Now my AHI stays below 1. With the Dream Wisp it bounced around daily. Sometimes below 1 sometimes over 8.
I may have been experiencing a bit more nasal congestion with the Dream Wisp.

I haven't tried the Dream Wisp and probably won't ever try it because of the major problem I had with congestion caused by the original Wisp. The pressure of the Wisp on my nose simply caused a lot of congestion...the kind of congestion that was relieved immediately when I would just pull the cushion off my nose so I know it was the mask's pressure that was causing the congestion.
And I didn't have it tight at all...
The least little pressure on the turbinates area of my nasal bridge simply causes congestion for me.

Since I had such a major problem with the original Wisp I have no desire to try the DreamWisp at all.
The original Wisp set a new record for how quickly it got ditched....90 minutes of extremely fragmented sleep due to wake ups from the congestion. Only time I have ever had to switch out masks in the middle of the night.

Pugsy
You are making me think I should continue using my Sleepweaver and set aside the Dream Wisp for times I want to punish myself.
I used my original Wisp for over a year with few problems.
I really like the magnetic clips and the top of the head hose connection on the Dream Wisp. The only thing I don't like is the AHI.

I don't know about Pugsy, but I'd like to know about what inspires desire for self punishment ~~~

Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.
