Air filling my mouth
Air filling my mouth
I just started using the Airfit n20. I am used to a full face mask but wanted something less cumbersome. I use a chin strap. Without the chin strap I wake up with "desert mouth". With the strap, it only take a few minutes for "excess" air to fill my mouth and eventually bursts out of my mouth with a big sound. If I had dozed off, it wakes me immediately. What am I doing wrong? I am a shallow breather and do tend to hold my breath for a few seconds regularly(unconsciously). Do I have to go back to the full face mask?

Re: Air filling my mouth
You are breathing out your mouth rather than your nose. You need to push the air back out your nose to keep your mouth from filling up.jacaruso wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 2:15 pmI just started using the Airfit n20. Train yourself to sleep with your tongue to the roof of your mouth.jacaruso wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 2:15 pmI just started using the Airfit n20. I tried--doesn't work.
Eventually my soft palate learned to do it by itself.

Well, I'd say you have a smart soft palate then..
I gotta give it a try anyhow.
