Whoa

Look more closely at the pic. He is sleeping during the day, must mean he hasn't used his xpap last night!
He probably slept on the job nights, and got promoted to days, so he could show rookies how it's done.

Or maybe he got called out and was out all night and still had to work the next day. The fact that he's got a gas mask strapped to his left leg and a ballistic shield sitting in the trunk is a dead giveaway. The FBI calls that a clue.

Sorry missed that clue must be sleep deprived :(

I wonder who's out there writing up Seat Belt Tickets, or better known as Seat Belt Taxes! Jim

Regarding the seat belt thing, I'm certainly not doing that, as you know. I give warnings for seat belts. Unless it's a kid, then I ticket the parent.
I was once called a straight arrow, by a city detective, he said I could fly under the radar for anything.
I used to have respect for law enforcement, it had degraded over the years here, the bad ones way out way the good ones, and it makes all look bad.

Glad to hear you are one of the good ones, most of our police force are used to prop up our tax base, from the Judges to Meter Maids. I have been stoppedfor driving a 25 year old car, I was trying to get home at twilight, after a wiring failure 1 and 1/2 blocks from home, they ran my plates, my licence, ins. and ran my wifes ID, she was a passenger. Last seat Belt violation was on a national holiday, in town, after turning onto another street when a light changed, by a overweight policeman 285 LB, getting time and a half, trolling for tickets, to pad the system coffers. I have a DR script, and a rider on my licence, to not use a seat belt, also handy cap plates. he stopped me at a blistering speed of 20 MPH 40ft from the turn, 150 ft from where I was going for dinner.

While he was screwing me over, a car almost rolled him up against my truck, he said,"Did You See That, that car almost Killed Me!". I held my Tongue, (But it didn't stop me from thinking) The down side it would have dented my truck!

Over 55 years of driving, I've been driving two cars that have been totaled, never had a wreck that was my fault. No seat belts involved, no injuries from the wrecks, no-one else was injured either. Three Speeding Violations, all from State Police, professionals each one, no fault on them. Our City Police System is corrupt from top to bottom, but the bad Apples make the whole basket stink. Enjoy your work and stay safe, we need the good ones like you! Jim

He walked in says your compliant, you've lost a bunch of weight since I last saw you, good job see you in a year.
My question is do you HAVE to see him in one year? I don't think it's a Medicare requirement. You can check with your insurer to find out if it's an insurance requirement, or it may be a state requirement.

I have NEVER seen the Kaiser sleep doctor. The techs do all the work, then he ELECTRONICALLY signs off and gets the big bucks. I'd be very surprised if he even pays attention to what the test results and chart say in run of the mill OSA.

You might enjoy this book: https://www.amazon.com/Undoctored-Healt ... 1623368669

Kaiser now wants to do annual visits via video. Why bother going through the motions. I always thought the whole point of a physical exam was the EXAM part. Silly me.

My sleep doc is a pulmonologist. I usually have to see those guys once a year anyway to keep my asthma meds and his assistant always does that breathing test thing. believe me if I thought I could get by with one less doctor I would.
I don't even know why we have primary care doctors anymore all they do is send us to specialists.

In Nevada they were starting to go to that video doctor stuff but here in Arizona not so much. Probably because there are so many doctors here competing for our $$$.

that's because so many doctors are leaving flagstaff and moving down to the valley. my wife and i are on our 3rd primary care person in just short of 3 years.

i'm quite happy that i don't rely on any doctor for my sleep apnea care.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

It has grown so much here in the 15 years I was gone. Omg there are so many people. . If I could send a few of those doctors back your way I would. We moved home to get out of the cold and to have better access to doctors. I don't think either one of us realized just how big it had grown.

i read a very long time ago that it was the advent of air conditioning that caused phoenix to actually grow in population. i mean, it makes obvious sense now. but it surprised the hell out of phoenix, IIRC.

there are many "attractions" down that way. and we have a niece in mesa that is happy to put us up(or is that put up with us?) for an overnight stay. but even with air conditioning, we don't go down during the summer months.

A/C was here 15 years ago.  what is causing the growth now ? I grew up here in and it wasn't near as crazy populated as it is now.

You can't fool me Zonker. Flagstaff isn't any cheaper than the valley these days. Its expensive to live anywhere.
Although got to agree with you about the cards, that is a trap I sure do not want to fall into.

The whole system is a joke.
You got excellent results. Why complain about "the system"? Do you want an expensive doctor wasting time chatting with you?
I'm not complaining. I just thankful I got into the "system" with minimal roadblocks along the way. The road for me was very easy other than having to try to sleep 2 nights with 4,000 wires attached to my body. :D

I wish everyone could have the painless successful CPAP experience I continue to have.

As far as I'm concerned, my job is NOT to assist in funding the local government. My job is to find the people that do heinous things and make sure they no longer do those heinous things anymore. Not wearing a seatbelt is not a heinous thing, especially if you're an adult. I only say that I gave tickets for kids not being in seatbelts, because they don't get the choice. Kids should be seatbelted, but an adult can make the choice whether they want to wear one or not, as long as they're ok with the possible consequences of that action - and I mean in the traffic fatality kind of way, not the government being big brother way.

Edit: If it's not clear, I fall on the side of government being out of people's lives as much as possible. There is an obvious utility of government, but it doesn't need to control every aspect of people's lives, that's the antithesis of freedom.

I compared Medicare premiums in different areas of Nebraska.
Turns out, the cheapest rates are where there are no doctors.
Hmmmm.
