Oscar showed that I had more than 200 central apneas the other night.

Am I interpreting this wrong, it looks like a CA is being recorded between individual breathes (for part of the evening, anyway
).
If you don't stand for something; you may fall for .... ANYTHING!

I'll attach a broader view too.

Were you for sure asleep when all those centrals/CAs got flagged?
Can you also review this thread and get me one detailed report in the format that I have examples shown for?

We don't need AHI graph or the respiration graph.
Turn the CA and OA flags back on....bottom left below the graphs...see the "flag" thing...click on it to expand it and anything you see that is red...click on it to change it to green.
Somehow or other you have turned those flags off. They need to be on.

Hi, in regards to your question; it doesn't take me long to get to sleep (usually the moment my head hits the pillow) -I was asleep probably all but the first minute or so.
As for the other; I am only in my mobile now- I have Oscar on my PC only, so later on this afternoon ill have a look at all that you said- and I'll repost the image. Cheers

Re: Oscar showed that I had more than 200 central apneas the other night.
I have a strong suspicion you have complex sleep apnea...combination of obstructive apneas and central apneas.
If you didn't have many central apneas prior to starting cpap therapy then it is possible that cpap therapy itself caused the centrals.
See this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU-XTcf ... e=youtu.be
If you had said you didn't sleep much..might could blame some of those centrals on awake breathing false positive pausing in breathing but you didn't.
I know that things are done differently in Australia where you are at but you need to be getting with your doctor and deciding the best course of action to take for this problem.
If it was just a few centrals...might let them slide and see if your body re-adjusts to things and the centrals go away on their own (it can happen) but this is much more than a "few" and I don't know if any amount of time would be enough to have that many fade away on their own. This is best dealt with by your medical care team. You may need a different machine.....a machine that can deal with both obstructive apneas and central apneas. Your current machine cannot deal with central apneas at all.
If you read the threads here there is some talk about ASV machines...these kind of machines can deal with both kinds of apneas.
Unfortunately very pricey machines.
Now if you had a truckload of central apneas prior to starting cpap....you should never have been given the machine you were given.
It won't ever deal with central apneas.

Re: Oscar showed that I had more than 200 central apneas the other night.
Thank you for the heads up about all those flag thingy's that were turned off (I probably clicked on them & accidentally turned them all off the other day when I was trying to work out what they were for... oops!). The people that are doing my cpap trial have also said they think I have 'complex sleep apnea' & apparently I have to be referred to a specialist. I have already purchased a Phillips Respironics System One Bi-pap AVAPS with Humidifier (it is a brand new machine- that I got for about a fifth of the price because the outside box had been opened!). I just need to find out from the people who are doing my trial, who sets my new machine (I hope I don't have to wait until I can get in with a respiratory specialist, because that could take a year; and I have to give the Dreamstation back next week as my trial will be up).
Thank you for the video link, it was really interesting... something that really stuck out to me in the video was when they said it is more common to see central apnea/ complex sleep apnea during non-REM sleep (the person interpreting my sleep study said it was odd that I had no 'events' during REM -only during non-REM). Quite frankly if I hadn't started using the DreamMapper app (as useless as it is, it at least alerted me to the fact that I was having a lot of mixed apneas) -& then the Oscar software, I probably would still be oblivious to it all (I literally had to point this all out to the Sleep study/ Cpap trial people- whom apparently were monitoring my progress via the modem (yet they failed to pick any of this up!?).
PS: ill attach the amended chart below.
PPS: Thank you for all the help & advice! Cheers
