High Respiration Rate?

Post by yearning4zs » Mon May 13, 2019 7:18 pm

Hello all,

I've been using cpap for about 3 months, and just over the past couple of days I've noticed a really high respiration rate. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered anything like this and what it might mean? Here is an example from last night. I should also note that this high respiration rate only started after I switched over to a brand new resmed 10 airsense a couple nights ago. I wonder if it's a problem with the machine? Because it shows high respiration rates even while I'm awake which I don't seem to have...

Wow, that's fascinating. I wonder how I can be sure though? I guess the fact that even when I'm awake it's recording too high of a respiration rate might be a giveaway?

When you know what to look for you can zoom in on the flow rate and actually count the breaths and see the little bumps that cause the inflated respiration rate.
Zoom in close enough and you can actually count the respirations manually.
