Johnny:
Site is logging you out after clicking on Index.
1. You input Username & Password at the top (not log-in the center) and click log-in button, Index is displayed.
2. You click on Index and it displays the posts but it logs you off.
3. If you hit the back button it takes you back to a login state but the same repeats after you click on the Index button.
Note: Normally, this site has asked for me to log-in twice, today only once. I am using Firefox 2.0.

Is there is a FF 2.0 build???
I'm using v1.5.08. Is the 2.0 build for XP or maybe just for Mac?

I use FireFox 1.5.0.8 too. Never seem to have a problem with staying logged in to cpaptalk.com, or at least not in the past year or two. I think I've been accidentally guested maybe 3 times since I first became a member.
Perhaps my lack of trouble staying logged in is because of one or both of these things:
1. I have "cpaptalk" as a button on the Firefox toolbar. If I want to go back to the index, I just click the toolbar button rather than the Index button on the page.
2. I don't have my browser set to dump cookies automatically.

Re: Firefox 2.0
It is for Whenders, it came out a day after Microsoft released the buggy IE7. I have been using it ever since that time and it has been just fine, sure works better and faster than IE7 that is for sure.GoofyUT wrote:Is there is a FF 2.0 build???

The upgrade is small and installs without a hitch, I didn't loose a single bookmark (wish I could say that for IE7 install).
Firefox is still faster and more stable in my opinion and my preferred browser.
I don't allow any saved cookies or passwords in my browser, that is the first thing they hack for when you visit a compromised site. I would especially not allow the browser to store any bank passwords.rested gal wrote:I use FireFox 1.5.0.8 too. My browser is set to delete all cookies and content at the close of the browser, it is one of the security options in FF and a good one in my opinion.
I don't have a problem logging on each session as long as it works. I've noticed the log-in has been a little qwerky for some time, today it didn't work at all, could be the site was so busy at the time it couldn't authenticate. I tried it 4-5 times waited, tried it again before it would accept it.
Add my name to the list of those who are having log in problems. Tonight was the first time. I had the "log me in automatically..." box checked from day one. Tonight, after I selected a thread to read, I was logged off and could not log back in, despite the fact that my user name and password would fill automatically (I also use Norton's password manager for auto fill in.) My OS is XP. I have purposely not upgraded to IE7.

another possibility........
I use Firfox as well, but recently, I heard about another browser that seems to be faster than even Firefox. Slimbrowser......I thave tried it and it seems to work well and is pretty fast, but I think it is using the IE engine, unlike Firefox.
