Feeling Better, AHI still looks high

Post by lancelot » Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:16 pm

I'm a newbie, got the CPAP on the 9th, and I'm still trying to get used to it. I can tell a big difference during the day, I'm not tired and taking naps anymore, getting more done! Awesome.

I noticed that most of you guys end up with an AHI < 5, but mine is still around 15. Can I achive < 5? Any pointers?

I have a philips dreamstation configured for auto cpap, here's my sleepyhead info:

Thanks in advance,

Lance.

Hmm, I can see it. And Lancelot, its great you’re already feeling better during the day! I am sure the experts here will be able to help you do some fine-tuning to get your AHI down.

welcome, sir. some of our experts don't seem to be about at the moment, though one of the night owls will be by in a bit.

the first thing that strikes me is that your minimum pressure is too low. instead of 4, i think you would be better served setting it to 7.

also, here is an example of how folks would like to see your charts formatted-

although, good job on getting rid of your pie chart. (obviously, i suck at that!!)

one final suggestion, if i may. when you have time, go to your profile and fill in your equipment. that way, it will show up at the bottom of each of your posts, like it does on mine.

good luck!
