SH inaccuracy?

Post by Miss Emerita » Fri Apr 19, 2019 8:59 am

I recently switched versions of SH from one that said "broken" to one that says "unstable." I've just noticed that the statistics for at least some maximums don't match the maximums shown on the graphs. For example, you can see a discrepancy between the FL where I hovered the vertical green line and the FL max on the left side, and by eyeballing you can probably see a discrepancy for leak max.

Maybe my old SH was this way too and I just didn't notice? At any rate, the problem with the maximums makes me wonder whether the other values are off too. OSCAR may make this all moot, but in the meantime I wonder whether anyone else has noticed something similar with their SH charts.

Since v1.1.0 came out, I've run both v1.0.0 and v1.1.0 concurrently.

For the most part the numbers are exact, but everyone in a while I do notice that there are discrepancies.

One noticeable difference was v1.0.0 reports some numbers at the 90% percentile and others at 95%. V1.1.0 consistency does v1.0.0

Thanks, DS. My old “broken” version was 1.1.0, and my new “unstable “ version is 1.0.0. Your post got me to dig the broken version out of the recycle bin and take a look. Spot-checking, its maximums look accurate. Ah well, waiting for OSCAR.

Poked around in SH and discovered that “maximum” values are actually 99%. So that explains that....

It's not a bug, it's just a different way of looking at the data..

You know what they say, lies, damn lies and statistics.

Miss E - I hope you don't mind me saying, that's a beautiful flow line you've got going on there.

Not trying to #metoo you, just passing along a compliment.
