Confused about air flow

Post by MarkWriter » Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:35 am

Hi all,

So yesterday I got the replacement full face mask for the cheap one my therapist provided - it's a DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear. It seems to fit fine and is nice and light etc, but I had to take it off after several minutes because it was blowing a gale-force wind up my nose. Not just a light drift of air, but I knew if I kept it on my nostrils would either blow away or be severely chapped. I looked at the instructions etc but can't figure out if there's something I'm doing wrong. The damn thing cost me $150 so I'd like to be able to use it....

I think it will just take a while to get used to it. With the traditional FF mask, the air flowed into the mask and you could inhale as you needed. With this mask, the pillows direct the air right up your nose. and the pressure feels stronger. Personally I like the traditional FF mask much better.
