Sneezy!

Post by Spot123 » Wed Apr 10, 2019 6:12 am

Anyone ever sneeze with their apparatus on? It's spring finally in the northeast so allergy season is officially ON.

Yes I have a few times and I use a ffm and I just try to hold the power of my sneeze back so I don’t make a mess of the inside of the mask. Generally my sneezes are spray free but I do clean it daily with mask wipes.

That would blow my p10 off!
Since I use the ultrafine filters, I mostly sneeze right after taking the mask off.
---a lot of sneezes!
So I hop over to the lilypad with a drain hole . . .

Chunkyfrog, do you think the ultrafine filters work better for the pollen, etc? I think we have the same machine.

That is, after all, their entire purpose... Hence the name "hypoallergenic".

Never sneezed into it (yet), but cough sometimes. Not usually a problem.

It happens to us all, sooner or later.

My old PRS1 machine had no cover over the filters, so if I coughed or sneezed it would blow the filters right out! At least until I figured out to put a rubber band over the filters to hold them in place.

I make a habit every night to wash my face before going to bed especially during allergy season. I also do nasal flush using a Neto bottle or something similar. If their is lots of pollen or alergens in the air I will shower and wash my hair.

I never thought to do this for allergies. Thanks for the idea!

 wow.
What I'm trying to figure out is how that little piece of dust out pollen got in in the first place. Was it left over from the day and got dislodged at night? I was hoping that the machine, with the extra filter, would help guard against this. :?
