Air flow

I woke up at 2am with my nasal mask spitting and sputtering. I added more water and that stopped but I could not go back to sleep as it seemed too difficult to breathe thru it. Also it would not shut off automatically as normal. Do you think the air flow is not as strong for some reason?

Not enough information...machine? mask? pressure? heated hose? water in the hose?
