Newbie with questions

Post by MrsWalker » Mon Apr 01, 2019 9:41 pm

I have been using my APAP machine (it’s an Apex iCH auto ) for a couple weeks now. And for some reason still feel very tired.
When I did my APAP titration study I started feeling so much better and had so much more energy within a few days. . Dr. prescribed me an APAP machine 10 min 14 max
Should I switch it to CPAP mode? Would that help?

Welcome. :).

I'm fairly new myself. But since I'm awake and posting this late I thought I would welcome you aboard. I am sure our experts will be back in the morning. :)

In the meantime here is a link to help you get started.

Following the steps involved like listing your equipment in your profile helps them to be able to help you quicker. If you look at the bottom of my message it will show the equipment I use.

Welcome to the forum. It is common for people to take several weeks before they start to really notice any difference in how they feel. It took me about two months before I really noticed any change. My recovery was slow and gradual. After about two months, I suddenly realized I could sit at the table and work the crossword puzzle in the newspaper without falling asleep, and I could actually sit and watch a movie on the TV without falling asleep and missing half of it. On the other hand, some people have noticed immediate improvement. Without seeing some data it is difficult to say what problems you may be having. As for using a constant pressure, some people do better with a constant pressure. Perhaps you are one of the people that are extremely sensitive to pressure changes. Another thing to consider is XPAP machines will only treat sleep apnea, they will not treat other causes of crappy sleep.
