P10 mask stretch fix

Post by Sluggish » Tue Mar 05, 2019 1:25 pm

Many of us love the P10 because it's minimal, comfortable, and the diffused exhaust etc.. But if you're like me you find the headgear stretches resulting in a looser fit and leaky seals. Washing the gear is good but after a few nights, it tends to return to it previous stretched length.

The solution I have found is simple. Forgive me if someone else already mentioned this but I didn't see it anywhere.

1. Remove the fabric headgear from the plastic mask part. You will notice a small slit in the fabric where the plastic arms from the mask slide in.
2. With an X-acto knife, make a new slit about 1/2" up. Repeat on the other side (this example will make it 1" shorter overall).
3. Reattach headgear to plastic mask using the new slit that you just created.
4. Enjoy your new tight mask.

In my case I eventually cut off the old excess and sealed the open ends up with hot glue. Hot glue BTW, is about the only think I have found that will bond this elastic stuff.
