Hi, I have a resmed 10 with nasal pillows, nasal mask, and a ffm. I have been using CPAP in and off for a couple of months the first week with the pillows was great as far as my sleep goes. I woke up feeling rested, ect. However, the pillows hurt my nose so I decided to get the nasal mask and since have gotten a ffm. This issue occurs with all of them. I am fine when I'm breathing in normally aka forcing myself to take deeper breathes, however when I'm falling asleep / actually asleep, my breathing is much more passive and therefore shallow. When I'm passive breathing, it feels like the machine is fighting me to take a breath and I'm not actually getting any air flow. I've taken preliminary pulse ox readings and my o2 sat drops with the mask on vs off. This also causes me to continually wake up as I'm falling asleep due to the feeling of suffocating. I have tried every pressure, EPR Setting, changing my filter, different mask types and they all seem to have this issue.
On a possibly related note - when wearing the mask with the machine off, it is much harder to breathe than normal. Resmed owners - is this normal? Could there be an air for limitation somewhere in the machine?
Looking for any sort of guidance this sub has to offer.
I did download sleepy head but haven't plugged my days into it yet.
Thanks in advance.

What ARE your pressure settings?

Impossible to hazard a guess without more information....unfortunately the machine shown in your profile doesn't offer much to help you figure out what might be going on.
Do you really have the AirSense 10 CPAP machine shown in your profile? Unfortunately the data it will give you is limited.
Won't work with SH and if it did wouldn't show you much anyway. If that is the case then you need a better machine to help you figure out what is going on...one that is full efficacy data.
Hopefully you just chose the wrong machine when you made your equipment selections.
If you do have a full data machine...we need to see some detailed reports...see this thread for image format
