GOODKNIGHT 418A

Post by peetersjeff » Fri Jan 04, 2019 6:57 pm

I have been using a Goodknight 418A for years and it suddenly stop working. Shows and ERR###.
Anybody know where to find error codes and is it worth spending money on?

Thanks

I googled this machine. As I suspected, it is discontinued. Since I never used this machine - or even this brand - I don't know if it was recently discontinued or discontinued a while ago.

If it's > 5 years old, most insurance will replace it with a new one (in the U.S.).

welcome to the forum. i'm not smart enough to claim to know anything about machines. others will be in later.

you may want to contact-

https://acbio.com/cpap-repair/

and see what they have to say. i haven't used these guys myself, but i've heard people here pointing them out.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Den (Wulfman) may have a manual that explains the error codes and he might even have a service manual.

But as for sending it off to be fixed...just the cost of shipping is going to be more than it's worth.

If money is tight someone here just the other day had a high hour machine that would work and all they wanted was shipping costs for it.
So free except for shipping and it still works fine.

Sorry, I don't have any manuals on that one.

Does it look like these? If so, the newest it may be is like 10 years old. It could even be an older model that's nearly 20 years old.

Considering the age of it, I would suggest putting your money into a newer, more data-capable machine like a Philips/Respironics or ResMed.
