Are you using a Full Face mask?

If so and it is riding on your lower teeth it is NOT sized properly. The lower portion of the mask should be riding much lower in the chin-dimple area.

The roots of the lower teeth can go pretty deep in the mandibular bone, an Orthodontist will move your teeth by applying pressure with braces.

If you are pushing out with your tongue on the teeth I could see where that could cause your teeth to spread. I'll ask my daughter next time she calls, she is a dentist and also has her Masters in oral biology.

If you suspect it is the mask, I would look at trying a different style possibly one that leaks less so you don't have to tighten the straps so much. I'm waiting for the new SomnoTech to come out to give it a try. If you can use a nasal mask, I would try the SomnoTech Soyala, it has quickly become my favorite and it is excellent at controlling leaks, I can wear it almost as loose as the Activa.

Smoking remains the worst thing you can do for the health of your teeth, as it can lead to the same thing and even Periodontal disease once it takes over it can cause them all to become loose within 6 months. Sorry, but they don't put that on the warning label of a pack of smokes.
