Airfit P10, Sleeping trouble

Post by csb » Sat Dec 22, 2018 12:46 pm

I've been on CPAP for over 10 years. I just got a new Airsense 10 machine, I also got an AirFit P10 pillow setup. My first night with the P10 setup, 2 hrs. after going to bed and still wide awake. I went back to my Mirage Activa Lt Nasal and I was able to get to sleep. The second night I had the same problem, went to the Mirage and was able to sleep. The P10 setup is comfortable, no leaks and feels great, just can't seem to get to sleep with this setup. Any ideas, help would be much appreciated.

You probably think you don't have a mask on when wearing the P10 after being used to the other one and your brain keeps waiting for you to put it on!

I think the new machine probably has more effect on going to sleep? Maybe the settings are different or how it does its thing is different from the other machine?

It’s just different from what you have used for years and years.
I would have the same problem if I went from pillows to your type of mask. It’s just a different feel in general even if quite comfy and no issues with leaks or fit.

Try wearing the p10 wile watching tv or reading a book with the machine on and under no pressure to fall asleep.
Let your brain get used to new feelings.
