Any tips on Philips Bluetooth would be highly appreciated.

Post by Doug450 » Wed Dec 19, 2018 1:10 am

I have a Bluetooth module hooked up to my Philips respironics system one, throughout the year I have had it it has been a little bit buggy but all in all it worked decent for about a year, but now it is junk and I can't get it to work at all.
I have read many stories about the same as mine, everybody loved their Bluetooth for a little bit but then it started screwing up and turned to complete junk.
for the last couple days I have been dealing with Philips for a couple hours each day and boy what a chore that has been, they have passed me around and passed me around from department to department putting me on hold every time and and nobody can help me, it is so dang frustrating.
Does anybody have any tips on how to get this thing back up and working?

The first thing to try is to unplug (and replug) your machine and restart your phone (or whatever other device you're syncing to). Then wait five minutes and try again.

Please let me know if that works.

You might call acbio.com (they fix cpap machines) and see if they know of any little tricks.
The System One has been discontinued...not many ever had that Bluetooth anyway. Not one of Respironics most highly rated ideas and buggier than all get out.
Most people didn't bother messing with it and used SleepyHead software which shows more details that you can get with the Bluetooth app thing.

My DreamMapper was working pretty well until the past couple of weeks. It won't update daily now unless I unplug it and plug it back in as was previously suggested.

It is spooky at best.

My dream mapper has not worked for the past 3 days. Before that it was buggy. Because I'm new to apap, I often take naps and Dream Mapper doesn't like that.

I don't worry about it because I use Sleepyhead every 3 days or so to see what is really happening. That's enough for me to see trends but not obsess about my numbers.

I've also had issues. I've had to pair the devices numerous times, starting from scratch. I've googled it, followed suggested directions & have always gotten it to work again. Don't know why, but it is "buggy." My phone or iPad never seem to have issues with my headphones or other Bluetooth devices.
Best advice - forget Dreamapper, pop out the SD card & use Sleepyhead. You'll get significantly more useful data.

Your phone (or other device) and the data accumulating portion of your CPAP are computers. Computers sometimes need to be rebooted to work correctly. It may be annoying, but for now, that's how it is.

Ironically, the power went out at my house last night for 10 minutes. This morning Dreammapper started working again. My phone was unaffected so I can only conclude that the power outage gave my apap machine the reboot it needed. :)
