Hi all
I have been through 11 different full face masks including the new F30. The doctor has my pressure set for 6 to 20. I think that makes it very difficult to not have loud and vibrating leaks. Even with those high pressure I have between 11 and 20 events per hour. I have started out and keep tighten the masks until they gouge the face. Most of the masks seal for about 1 to 2 hours then it is a battle for the rest of the night. I have been changing to different about every 2 to 3 hours to be able to use my bilevel cpap. The masks leaks are very bad. I have a couple of questions; Is there any full face mask that seals good with high pressures? Are the blue gel seals any better?
Thanks in advance

Re: FF Mask leaks
I have used the F&P Simplus, Amara View, F20, F30 and DreamWear FFM successfully without excessive leaks. My IPAP pressure starts at 17 and can go as high as 20. Hard to say why you can't get a good seal. Might have to do with the size and/or shape of your facial features.

Re: FF Mask leaks
I’m currently using a ResMed Quattro FX on an AirCurve ASV where the pressures vary quite a bit (nature of ASV) with them getting to 25 cm and I can go without meaningful leaks other than when rolling around.
I have the large mask: besides the shape of your face compared to the mask/cushion/headwear, the size of the cushion is important to get right. Of course, perhaps your face is not suited for this mask, only way to know is to test.
For the higher pressures, I had to tighten it down a bit, but with how it rather evenly distributes pressure, it’s still about as comfortable as I suspect you can hope for: I don’t feel any high pressure points form.
(It’s true, as of this time, I’ve not updated my equipment profile...)

Re: FF Mask leaks
When I was first diagnosed and fitted with my Resmed S9, I went through about 5 different masks until I settled on the Resmed Mirage Quattro medium full face mask. My original CPAP pressure was set to 16/22. I too found that the mask would leak no matter how tight the straps were, so I started using RemZzz’s full mask liners and this took care of my issue promptly. I trim the liner down at the top because if I leave it as it comes in the package, then the material lays over my eyes and they dry out.
My pressure has now been dropped to a straight 12 and my machine converted to CPAP only, but I still use the liners every night. I also use one liner per week instead of one a day as the box suggests. If the line becomes soiled, then I just replace it sooner.
Good luck,
