Hey there! I'm Benjamin, from Denmark, 29 years old, and...
...for the past 4-5 years I've been on some medication for mental health related issues. While getting these injections of medication once a month, I gained about 50 kg/110 lbs. This has obviously also affected my sleep, to the point where I drift off many many times sitting at the computer, about to fall off my chair several times. I also managed to basically destroy my 1500 dollar laptop, as I was sitting on the edge of my bed, drifted off, landing on the bed table with my head and elbow, crashing into the laptop, thereafter landing on the floor. I've managed to pick up so many phones that weren't there, as I've been half asleep thinking someone called me, I then wake up, sit and talk for half a minute or whatever, before I realize I'm not even holding the damn phone in my hand. I fell asleep standing at the toilet, I fell asleep in the bus. And it's just been draining me so much of energy, that I'm hardly able to enjoy playing video games, which I used to enjoy. I simply just start dozing off for a few minutes at a time.
I don't have a car, but from the results I just got it states I should not drive. Hell, even bicycling I become very "unaware" (not so much falling asleep, just not aware of things around me).
Now, I got the results and I'm getting a CPAP. Apparently my AHI score was 107. That rates as severe, from what I can tell.
There are some other numbers I'm unsure of though, mind you I'm translating from Danish to English here, but I hope someone can help me decypher, just because I'm curious (the doctor will surely tell me what they mean if I ask):
Minimum saturation in %: 61
Minutes with saturation of less than 90%: 139/267.
Paradox respiration in %: 31,0
Can anyone tell me what these mean? I'm just curious.
I hope getting a CPAP will help me get back to having energy during the day, as I'm exhausted from dawn till nightfall.

Welcome to the forum Benjamin.
I don't know how well you can read and comprehend English but you might take a look here for an explanation as to what you may see on your reports.
http://adventures-in-hosehead-land.blog ... -test.html
But for answers to your specific questions about what these mean
I will try to find out though.
The other is related to oxygen levels in the blood stream.
The lowest /minimum it went to was 61 % and that's scary low.
The other is the number of minutes you spent below 90% and of course that's over 2 hours and that's scary.
88% or 90% is usually considered the cutoff point where doctors start worrying about how much oxygen is in a person's blood stream.
Yours is scary low and for a prolonged period of time which makes it even scarier.
Doesn't surprise me with the AHI being report over 100...AHI is an hourly average of the number of times you weren't breathing for whatever reason. It's no wonder you feel like crap and fall asleep at inopportune times.
How quickly will they be getting you on a cpap machine?

I found out what paradox breathing is

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diaphragmatic_paradox
I don't understand the clinical implications though....just that it is unwanted.
Something for you to definitely discuss with your doctor.
