any ff dreamwear leak tricks?/cpap cause breathing issues?

Post by lliann » Sat Aug 11, 2018 5:13 pm

I am just miserable. Not only do I have a broken wrist (had surgery) but having breathing problems (trouble catching a full breath) and that started after I started using my cpap regularly. Plus sinus/allergies off the chart.

So I have to break down and wear a full face. They always leak. I suspect its my face shape. The dreamwear ffm always leaks just below my lower left lip/cheek. Any tips? Besides gorilla glue?

Also, I swear that I am having more trouble breathing lately because I am getting used to the machine auto supplying necessary pressures. When I had my surgery, they had to keep telling me to breathe. I guess somehow I have taught myself to not breathe or to breathe very shallow. It's causing major issues lately. Any experience with this anyone?

Different masks work for different people.

The Dreamwear FF leaks under my lip. The ResMed F20 does not. I haven't figured out how to fix the leak in the dreamwear, but the leak is under the 24 l/m "large leak" limit. So I can still use the Dreamwear FF if I want to, but I don't like the feeling of the air leak across my face.

When I started using my dreamwear ffm I didn’t have any leaks. Then I had a rash and had to stop using it for a weak, now I am having leaks. Doesn’t make any sense to me. I am also not sleeping near as well on it. Ah well, back to adjusting.
