How to enlarge Dreamwear nasal cushion opening
How to enlarge Dreamwear nasal cushion opening
Has anyone tried doing a bit of surgery on their Dreamware cushions?
I was considering putting my un-tried, and un-used small and medium-spares from my Dreamwear fit kits on eBay when I realized that maybe I could just use a punch and enlarge the holes myself rather than taking the net loss from selling them and buying the larger size. I don't have the fancy insurance that sends two new $39 cushions every month, so this seems worth trying if I can do it in a way that won't cause the silicone to tear, which seems like a possibility. Any thoughts on this?

I bought the large cushion for $12 on Amazon. Perhaps you could trade with a member here instead of putting them under the knife.
I would trade my dreamwear small unopened gel pillows for a medium or large. There may be someone out there who wants to trade a large cushion for a medium. I would actually, but I already opened and tried the large before switching to the medium.

That does sound like the smarter move, though less immediately gratifying.Fetou wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 11:21 pmI bought the large cushion for $12 on Amazon. Perhaps you could trade with a member here instead of putting them under the knife.

I did buy a large nasal cushion on Amazon as a back up. Definitely way cheaper than the advertised minimum prices that all the official Philips dealers are required to charge by Philips. There is no way the replacement nasal cushions should cost $39 a piece.

You are very educational, and you are making me re-think how often I should use sarcasm as a response to simple questions.

Re: How to enlarge Dreamwear nasal cushion opening
We have all sorts of personalities here. Remember we can't see inside someone's head or heart when we read what they type here. We might misunderstand how something was intended to be taken. Happens to me a lot because I am often blunt and sometimes it hurts people's feelings but I don't mean to hurt anyone.
Some with a very dry sense of humor that we may or may not always find the humor in what they say.
Some are just negative Nellie's.
Some are just grumpy.
Some are always sugar sweet nice and will try to kill you with kindness.
Some always carry and swing a 2 X 4 and are firm believers in tough love.
Some would argue with you if you told them the sun rose in the East and set in the West.
Some just all a spade...a spade but while how it was said might sound a bit harsh...the spade is still a spade.
Some just like to nit pick you to death because it's just their nature.
Some would argue with a stump.
Some are borderline trolls.
Some are shills for various products.
Some you will like and would want to go have a drink at the local bar with them after work.
Some you will not like at all and you wouldn't piss on them if they were on your front porch on fire.
You get the drift here...
With time here you learn the various personalities that people have and how they "talk". Some people you won't care much for how they "talk"...your personalities just don't jive well.
Put these people on your Foe list and try to simply not read what they say. I have several on my Foe list. They are usually argumentative assholes who just want to stir up trouble or they take great please in just irritating me.
Keeps me from engaging in another pissing contest with them which only harms my mental state and raises my blood pressure and they aren't worth it. So I don't read anything they write unless someone just happens to quote them in a post.

Pugsy, that post should go in the stickies for newbies. lol
I'll admit I'm a cushion modifier. I find if I'm in between sizes or if it doesn't fit quite right I make a little adjustment. Basically all that means is I do a little cutting on the cushions with scissors. Would be nice if they had a few more than just three sizes in the typical mask.
