First night on CPAP at home

Post by Guest » Sun Nov 05, 2006 2:59 pm

Hey all,

Last night was the first night on CPAP for me at home. My wife says I slept like a baby! No tossing, turning, choking, gasping for air (the normal nightly dance for me)

I have lots of energy and feel great, refreshed and ready.

cpap: Resmed S8 Elite with heated humidifier
mask: Resmed Ultra Mirage full face.

Thanks so much for the replies!

Knoxville is an ok place, I'm looking to move to New York or Atlanta in a few years

I have had a very busy day and I have been able to THINK clearly!

I decided that we should paint the bedroom walls, went to walmart twice for different paint, washed one of the dogs, raked the leaves out of the yard, took the trash down without the wife asking me, washed dishes (dishwashing machine, not by hand but hey I loaded it), read about 60 pages in a book called "For Life", AND I rode 30 minutes on the exercise bike!

Wow is all I can say. I have been that active since my teens.

Off to a good start! Congrats! Count yourself among the lucky ones who respond very quickly to treatment. For many of us, its a slower road to improvement, but its definitely worth the trip.
