my new Wisp mask wont couple with my ResMed Slimline hose

Post by fishingman » Thu Jun 28, 2018 6:54 pm

the end of each has hard plastic ends that seem to be permanently attached to soft white rubber. What am I missing? Do I need a flexible coupler coupler of some sort? My DME therapist gave me the mask today but I guess he forgot about the coupling issue.

You've probably got something stuck in the long hose. Happens often.
If unsure grab a picture of the mask end of the long hose and the hose end of the mask.
Post it here.

The wisp mask has a short hose to connect to the slimline hose.
See the picture here.

My slimline hose is soft, bendable, on both ends. You may have a hard piece of some connector or mask part stuck in the hose.

Thanks to all! The long hose had a plastic swivel thing stuck into the end the same as the short hose on the mask. Now I can go sleep with my new mask :D

If it is a 90 degree angle piece, my last hose came with that. It goes into the machine to direct the long hose towards you, instead of straight out the back.
