I've been sleeping on my side and stomach with this mask

How on earth do you prevent the mask from leaking as you move around and lay on your side?
I dunno? It just doesn't...
Did you find the drewmwear mask notabley better than the respironics then? What were the biggest differences you personally observed?

I like them both honestly.. the biggest thing I've noticed is I don't get sores under my nose

Here's a question.. anyone feel very gassy when they wake up in the morning? Does that mean I'm mouth breathing and taking in air through the night??

Yeah...it happens. It's called aerophagia and while they comment about air swallowing implies the mouth being involved it doesn't necessarily mean mouth breathing.
wiki/index.php/Aerophagia

What happens is the air gets into the esophagus because the airway and the esophagus is combine until they split off with one part going to the lungs and the other part going to the stomach.
Air gets in the esophagus and there's a little sphincter at the esophagus and stomach junction. It's called the LES or Lower Esophageal Sphincter and sometimes that sphincter just doesn't keep the door closed well enough to keep that extra air from entering the stomach.
Maybe it's weak...maybe it's damaged from GERD...maybe there is a bit a a hiatal hernia. Whatever reason the air gets into the stomach and no where for it to go except with either burping or farting.
If it's real bad or really annoying or really painful or really makes a person ill...there are some things that can be done to limit that side effect that is unwanted.

If one big burp or big fart resolves the issue I wouldn't worry about it.
If it's really a problem the first thing to try is some pressure adjustments usually adding more exhale relief if possible and if not possible maybe some pressure changes. Sometimes just a little reduction in pressure will relieve the problem.

Thank you for this.. it's not horrible and it's not every night but I've delt with acid reflux and gerd for awhile and it was really bad while I was pregnant to the point I aspirated on stomach acid a couple of times.

I'll go a bit longer before I look up how to adjust things, but I'm glad to know it's not in my head.

Just to give an update.. I'm feeling a bit gassy but not nearly as bad.. I am also feeling much more rested during the day.. I'm averaging around 7.9hrs of sleep... The last three weeks I've gotten more sleep then the last nine months since my daughter was born and she was sleeping through the night at ten weeks. My AHI has never been above a 0.4 but it's averaging a 0.27 which I'm so happy about.. all in all I am thoroughly impressed with my CPAP therapy.
