I'm done with Apria (I really hope). I got them to pick up my machine, then bought one for myself online.
Medicare made me keep renting their machine instead of buying it. I had it for a year when I noticed Apria was messing around with the billing. It turns out that when they messed up billing my insurance and insurance would deny their claim (they were supposed to resubmit), Apria wouldn't follow procedure, but would bill me instead saying my insurance expected me to pay the amount.
I'm on my third go round. I call the insurance company, they call Apria, Apria says they'll take care of the problem, and they don't. They started leaving me phone messages that if I want to avoid them sending me to a collection agency, I better pay the bill. Each time Apria told the insurance company they'd put a note on my file so that wouldn't happen, but they didn't.
I simply can't do this anymore, so I called to return the machine. I had to get my doctor to approve the return. They then sent someone to pick it up. I'm waiting to see if they'll still try to screw me. Needless to say, they aren't with the Better Business Bureau or I'd definitely report them.

If you have the time, protest outside their location with a big picketing sign about their practices while wearing your CPAP mask until they get things figured out.

Sleep, sleep monster, sleep!

I hope you got a receipt when they picked up the machine
