Hello again everyone who is familiar with my project. I've been hard at work and have a some concepts/ features I'd like out to look at. Here is a list (sorry no sketches). . .
1. mask that has a bendable strip similar to a Breath-Rite. This provides a better seal with minimal straps. (only nasal)
2. mask this draw string running throughout. THis tightes around the chin and nasal bridge. (oral and nasal)
3. mask with CPAP control buttons on it. For less effort to change settings mid-sleep. (oral or nasal)
4. mask with 2 part structure. First a mounting 'bracket' that is straped to the head. Second, a front piece that attached to the hose and unlatches for easer mid-sleep interuptions. (oral or nasal)
5. mask with inner 'mouthpiece' that keep the jaw in a fixed orientation, thereby limiting leaks during sleep movement. (oral or both)
6. mask with adaptive structure. the interface's inner 'seal' piece is slightly elastic. its outer 'shell' explands around to fit larger to smaller noses. Mainly just a mask that covers the exact size and shape of any nose. (nasal)
7. mask with rotating adjustment valve that asks like a secondary 'ramp' mode. this is for people adjusting to a cpap. it give instant relief and gradually goes back to your highest setting.(nasal or oral)
The final design will most likely be a combination of these. PLease let me know what you think. . . . . .
HAVE A SAY IN INNOVATION 2
Some ideas... not necessarily right or wrong... just what popped into my head.
1. Including several various sizes of non bendable strips might be better. They're cheap to produce and are more ridged.
2. ??? Do you mean like a draw string in a pair of sweat pants?
3. Why would you want or need to change settings in the middle of the night? I'd hate to roll over with the mask resting on my hand and the settings change.
4. Would need to see a picture.
5. Might work.
6. Again... need pictures. It sounds like it might work.
7. I'm not sure I'd want electronics in my mask. 1) It would make the mask a lot more expensive. 2) More stuff to break. 3) Would make the mask heavier than it needs to be.
Good job... keep 'em coming.
