Linda,

Good luck with your therapy. In the sense of being something to cope with on a daily basis, the therapy is NOT a "big deal". But, in the sense of how it affects your health.....it IS a "BIG DEAL". Hang in there.

If you need more advice with therapy, the forum will be here to help you.

Best wishes,

Making the adjustment

Post by kteague » Fri Nov 03, 2006 10:13 pm

Good to hear you're making progress in adjusting to this life change. As you begin to feel better, hopefully it will be less and less of a big deal. As much as possible, allow yourself some extra sleep time (on the machine). Your body and mind needs pampered for a while to help you replenish your depleted resources. I personally advocate waking naturally for a while so that your body completes all the sleep cycles it needs. That may mean a very early bedtime, but jolting yourself awake before being completely rested may just prolong your recovery time. That's not from any medical books, just my personal experience. Best wishes.
Kathy
