Encore Pro Issue

Post by JDS74 » Thu May 24, 2018 9:47 am

Has anyone had an issue with Encore Pro failing to recognize the SD card as belonging to the patient?
My system does this even after I assign the card to the current patient (me.)
However, ignoring the error message results in the data being downloaded correctly to the correct patient.
This error first surfaced when I switched to the DS900 ASV machine from my previous PR960 ASV machine.
Just curious.

This is only an assumption but I would assume the previous machine was associated with your user. Look in the patient profile for yourself and somewhere will be the serial number of your old machine change this to the serial number of your new machine and then it will associate correctly.

I suspect just a bug in the software pertaining to the DreamStation and it just not "remembering" despite assigning it to the user profile.

You might try creating a brand new profile just for the DSX900 data and see if it still does it or not.

Actually, the card I'm using is the new one from the new machine. No old data on it.
I didn't make a new profile so that the old data and the new would be merged.
Right now, I just ignore the error message as it doesn't seem to do anything untoward.

When you have time and are of the mind to would you mind making that second profile just to see if importing to it does the same thing.
You can still use the other profile and once you have answered my curiosity question you can remove the new/second profile if you wish.

I am thinking a little software bug that we can't do anything about.

And yes, ignoring having to reassign the SD card each time is just a minor annoyance and doesn't hurt anything in terms of data or anything else. Just a minor annoyance causing the curiosity thing for myself to perk up.

Pugsy:

Just created a new profile on Encore 2.20 and uploaded my data to it.
Same error, ignored it, loaded into the new profile just as before.

Next test is to put a blank formatted sd card into Encore and let Encore initialize it.
Then put it back into the machine to get the retained data loaded.
The see if it can be uploaded without the error message.

Encore Initialized the SD card.
Encore assigned it to the test patient
The DS900 loaded the last week's data (all the data on the machine) to the card.
Encore recognized the card but showed the same error message.
Encore tried to download anyway but found no new data (there wasn't any new data.)
Conclusion: There is something about a DS900 with the SpO2 attachement that prevents Encore from noticing the assigned patient but allows it to download anyway. Hence: just a minor annoying bug that does no harm.

Thanks for doing that extra work and answering my question.
I figured it was some sort of bug and not much we could do about it anyway.
I never bothered assigning the patient anyway because the act of the download would assign it and it only takes a millisecond when the message is seen to push the download button anyway.
