Sleep clinic appointment

Post by Chalkie » Thu May 10, 2018 8:06 am

So the appointment at the clinic rolls around tomorrow - am going to ask about what my pressure SHOULd be according to any sleep study I have had. And whether I can have another test/titration. Other than the discussing the mask, not sure what else I can ask about at this stage?
Machine: Philips Respironics BiPAP C Series.
Mask: Respironics Comfort Gel Nasal Mask.

Pressure 12-18.

Unless you're seeing one of the consultants, you might ask: "What experience have you had with people with my long-term condition? That is, with this condidtion and sleep apnea."

And assuming you get a response to that which covers several years and implies a good handful patients, then the next question might be: "What can I expect? What happens to people with this condition?"

If the person you see at 'the clinic' can't answer, ask to be seen by someone who can.

The nurse/tech has known me for many years. I am just writing out a list to take with me to the hospital...

I believe that your machine is data capable (even if it's not SleepyHead compatible). Remember to bring the SD card to the appointment.

It's definitely data capable. The data card is inserted in the machine.
