Re: Air fit p10
I had soreness the first few nights, but not bleeding. Are you sure you are using the correct size pillows? There are 4 sizes.
Extra Small (For Her Pack Only)
Small
Medium
Large (not in For Her Pack)

I was using small, but will try medium tonight and more moisture. Thank you for your suggestion.
Re: Air fit p10
I had very similar issues when I started with my cpap and P10 mask. Just a little extra TLC until your nose becomes acclimated to the constant contact of the mask and you should be fine. I won't lie, it was painful for a couple days, but pushing through it and sticking with CPAP made it well worth the effort since most times I forget I'm wearing a mask

Welcome to the forum.
No mask should ever cause severe pain, open sores, blisters, skin abrasions, etc.
It it does then it is either the wrong size or wrong fit or simply the wrong mask for a person's facial structure.
The P10 is actually a very popular mask...I use it myself and the only way I can think of that it should/would abrade the skin is wrong fit and/or wrong size nasal pillow.
The most common error people make with a nasal pillow mask is they crank it down way too tight and they don't have to be snug at all to seal.
If you are sure the blood is from the area where the nasal pillow rests and not up inside your nose from maybe dry nasal mucosa...something is terribly wrong with size or fit or both.
Watch any fitting videos (and there are a bunch on you tube).
Take a nasal pillow all by itself and place it gently on the nostrils....that's as snug as it needs to be.
If the skin at the nostril area is bleeding, rubbed raw, sore go to some place like WalMart and in the baby aisle there is a product that breast feeding moms use to help with nipple discomfort called Lansinoh lanolin ointment/cream. Get some and use it frequently during the day and sparingly at bedtime to help the skin heal.
If the blood is from up in the nostril and not where the pillows touch...consider increasing the humidity level to help keep the nasal mucosa from getting dried out and bleeding easily.

Re: Air fit p10
I'm with RicaLynn on this one.
The P10 hurt my nose so much at first that I couldn't wear it the whole night.
I don't know if I just had a really delicate nose, or what, but it was very painful.
I took the advice here, and got some Lansinoh lanolin (in the nursing mother section of the pharmacy/supermarket) used for sore nipples when nursing...(I referred to it as titty cream back then, and some stuck up person admonished me for being too childish).
A tiny dab of that, maybe the size of a bb, gingerly smeared on my nostrils before and after using the mask made a huge difference, and after a few days, the mask didn't bother me anymore, and I quit using the cream.
The only problem with that is that I now had about 98% of a tube left... but it comes in handy now and then when I've got chapped lips, or a sore nose from a cold.

Took a few days to get use to mine ... no bleeding just very sore at first... Got use to it soon after and now it's my favorite of all my masks..

Re: Air fit p10
In my case, I found he P10 painful, had a couple of not so great trials of full face masks, and then returned to the P10.
When I returned to the P10 I had no nasal pain. Perhaps the combination of new CPAP & P10 was too much for the poor nose, at first? I am using the same size Medium pillow that I first tried.
