Cpap life and throat infections?

Post by Ruinednose » Tue Apr 24, 2018 6:02 pm

Idk what to do, I clean my mask every 3 days and wipe it down daily, chamber cleaned weekly, new water daily. Hose replaced every 60 days.

For about a year, I have post nasal drip every few days, one a month I get red spots in the roof of the mouth. I feel like it s an infection, I get over it in a matter of days, I start sleeping better and then again it repeats every 3 weeks or so.

Why, what s going on? What do I do? Doctors keep throwing antibiotics at it, they don t care.

Now I have red spots in the roof of mouth, no pain, no other symptoms, just itching.

I brush teeth and keep regular higene like everyone else... Wtf... Desperate

Sounds like something else is going on, not the xPAP at fault .. watch out with taking too many antibiotics that will tear you down in no time ..

Sounds like you might want a second opinion. An ENT or allergist perhaps?

Like he said; go to an allergist.
You might also look into possible sensitivity to one of your cleaning/disinfection products.
Germ killers are toxic by definition--often toxic to humans.
Also look up antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Over-use of such products can mess with your immune system.
It is not uncommon at all, and it can be deadly.

Incidentally, why are you changing hoses every 2 mos? The oceans and landfills are drowning in plastic. I've had the same hose(s) x 5-8 yrs with no trouble as have others here.

I don't throw them away, I use them to replace the waste function colon of my human centipede.

I cut off the ends and using a scissors cut the hose from end to end and use them to hide wires around my computers and along baseboards. I guess that's recycling.

That's actually very useful and smart. Thank you

I keep it a lot tidier than that, controlling the smell is the hardest
