You must mean "Bill My Insurance" which is a cpap.com company that will sell you cpap equipment and bill to your insurance company (cpap.com does not). It is not an insurance company and since it is owned by the cpap.com folks it certainly is not providing them with any ad revenue.

The "spam" button in the forum proper could be freely exercised. As it can be now by anyone to delete a post - I don't think it takes a CPAP.com person to do it. We could test this - post something and see if I can delete it.

The delete spam button will only place the post into a holding file and will only be deleted if it actually is spam. Id a registered user deletes a legitimate post via the delete spam button he/she will lose the ability to use the button. This has also be disclosed on the forum previously.

My conspicuousness and participation history should have nothing to do with anything. I'm a registered member and therefore entitled to and demand the same treatment as anyone else. Otherwise I'm being discriminated against, and I don't like it. If I'm not subject to approval by other members, then don't delete my posts.

So far I have not seen how you have been treated any different than any other member. I was at one time a member of another cpap forum operated by the preeminent Sleep Apnea organization and even though I and others were members we had many posts deleted because our opinions did not fit the message of the organization. Hows that for discrimination.

As far as I know, my post was not removed by a webmaster, admin or mod. It was deleted by someone in the forum who hit the "Spam" button.

You actually don't know how or why your posts were deleted.

If Johnny has posted about for sale posts many times before and doesn't want members to do it, he should state this clearly in the FAQ. And he should apply the rule consistently which is not being done. Some people get bumped - others don't.

Why don't you suggest that to him. BTW, I see no reason for him to preclude using his judgment in deciding which posts to delete. This forum is a private enterprise.

Don't make the post look like a classified ad - use code words, I guess.

I gave you a suggested example that included no "code words"

All our posts and information in this site are what is important - we add the value here. The site itself is merely a shell without us. Thus, as members of this community we should always be willing to ask the site owners to serve us in better ways. And we should never just tug our forelocks and bite our tongues to anyone.

Johnny has stated this very point many times. He (it may surprise you) is a staunch supporter of a free and open forum...more so than some of the members. But as he carries the financial load of this forum we owe him the respect to be considerate of his decisions and address our concerns to him directly. I don't think you have done this...have you?

Sincerely,

Yes,I have sent him two messages. No replies yet, but it's the weekend.

I still think I was treated differently because I was a noob with low post count - this was explained to me by some forumites. However, there is a post offering used face masks that's been up all day by a guy with post count 4. Why does he get a pass? The whole deal is inconsistent. That's not right.

You may think it's inconsistent and you may not think it's right, but as with any website forum, it is their right!

Back to the topic of cpaps, what new machine are you going to get? I read an old post that said you're looking for a good one for camping. Have you looked at the BreatheX?

Yeah, I think it will have to be either BreathX or Aura Everest - haven't made up my mind yet.

I think my work here is done (or the horse died long ago)!

I'm going to start a new thread asking for info on the breathX and Everest, and would like your input
